AgripestBase has now made available a new portal: you can register for an account with AgripestBase (email required) and after annotating, the transactional files can be uploaded on our server.
Agripestbase is a comprehensive sequence database that supports genomics research of Agricultural pests. Agricultural Pests database will be home to genomic information from a broad range of pests including insects, parasites and pathogens. It will host the genomes of Hessian fly Mayetiola destructor and Tobacco hornworm Manduca sexta and in near future the genomes of several other agriculturally important insects and pathogens.
Availability of genomic information from such a broad range of agricultural pests will result in comparative genomics and further our understanding of these species. The information available from these databases will hopefully lead to better management strategies and new methods and targets for pest control.
